Welcome to Aldila Press.
My name is Michael Curtotti and I am the founder of Aldila Press, a boutique publishing house. Aldila Press takes its name from the Italian phrase al di là, meaning, beyond. This represents the philosophy that guides our work. We aspire to publish outstanding works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. The swallow in our logo is famous for its long migrations that traverse continents. For me, it is a reminder of a home town in Italy and the connections that forever link many of us with places far away, even though my home and family is Australia. The swallow also represents the long journey that writers undertake, when they set out to create a book.
As my own journey as a writer unfolded, I discovered that I enjoy many parts of the process of creating a published book, almost as much as the process of writing itself. Establishing Aldila Press, is for me, another way to contribute to works of outstanding literature. It is also a way to connect with fellow writers and those with an idea they would like to see in print. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or for a quotation via the Services page or by sending an email to submissions@aldilapress.com. I will be happy to get back to you.

PS: I regularly publish on my own author’s website called Beyond Foreignness, which is also an Aldila Press publication.
